Barbara Ann Boyle

First and foremost, I’m a writer. I began working as a copywriter in San Francisco at Hoefer, Dieterich & Brown (now Chiat Day) with the most creative of creatives as bosses and mentors.

But it wasn’t long before the mad intrigue of Madison Avenue lured me to New York, and although I actually landed in Times Square (then Midtown and SoHo), I loved every crazy second of it.

I spent a year living and working in Paris and four years in Germany, which allowed me to see the world through different windows. I’ve been a Global Creative Director on some of the best, most iconic brands in the world. And now I live in both San Francisco and Monforte D’Alba, Italy, and spend my days thinking, writing, and talking about creativity.

I get a thrill out of helping a brand grow. I believe in moments of deep creative thinking, alone, with an old-fashioned paper and pen, and I believe in a passionate team to take that thinking out into the world, with everybody adding to it as it goes.
